The EMAP Train-the-Trainer Course will provide an opportunity for experienced emergency managers and urban search and rescue (US&R) personnel the opportunity to interact with the EMAP Training Curriculum, practice teaching the EMAP Standard to a diverse audience, and receive their trainer certification. Specifically, participants will be interacting and teaching the following topics:
This training will be facilitated by EMAP staff and focused on the current 2013 Emergency Management Standard. The two-day training will involve numerous opportunities for teach backs, promoting open participation and discussion regarding the EMAP Standards and their application.
Those attending this training may be eligible to assist in the facilitation of on-site EMAP Trainings, Host EMAP Trainings, US&R EMAP Trainings, and Training & Standards Orientation Workshops. EMAP seeks to develop a pool of highly qualified trainers to assist in the delivery of trainings on a rotating basis. Please note that this is the first step to become a member of the Trainer Pool.
