EMAP Orientation Workshop for Private Sector Organizations

The EMAP Orientation Workshop will provide private sector organizations with an opportunity to learn about the EMAP Accreditation Process and the intent and application of the Emergency Management Standard to private sector organizations. At the end of the workshop, participants may choose to be certified as an Accreditation Manager for their organization. The primary purpose of this workshop is to provide the necessary information, tools, and resources for personnel wishing to lead their Emergency Management Program through the EMAP Accreditation Process. Private sector organizations interested in moving forward with the EMAP Accreditation Process will be provided with a Training & Standard Orientation Workshop by EMAP at their location. The Training & Standard Orientation Workshop is a four-day in-depth training focused on analyzing, discussing, and comparing the organization’s current plans, processes, procedures, and capabilities against the requirements established in the Emergency Management Standard. The costs associated with the Training & Standard Orientation Workshop is included in the accreditation fee for the private sector organization.
This course is reserved for private sector organizations including the following: (1) airports and/or airport authorities; (2) utility companies; (3) transit organizations; (4) hospitals and healthcare systems; (5) oil companies; and (6) entertainment companies. Interested public sector entities should attend the L0122: Emergency Management Standard Training Course for Public Sector Organizations. EMAP reserves the right to alter training rosters to ensure that participants are attending the correct training.
Consultants and students are not permitted to attend the EMAP Orientation for Private Sector Companies at the IAEM Conference.
