Resource Management Plan

This webinar will dive into the resource management standard in Standard 4.7. We will discuss the high-level development of the resource management plan, establishing goals and objectives, and the resource management systems that are used in the Program. The webinar will continue through gap analysis and identify how the program will fill the gaps. The webinar discusses maintaining agreements, establishing procedures, accepting donations, and using volunteers.

EMAP Program Highlights

The webinar will interview the most recently accredited programs and their journey through the accreditation process. We will discuss the process, the Program’s motivations for seeking accreditation, lessons learned, benefits of the process, what programmatic changes were made that enhanced the Program, and their plans for maintaining their accreditation.

Crisis Communications and Public Education

This webinar will examine the proof of compliance for the joint information system and public education for Standard 4.12, Emergency Public Information and Education. We will discuss crisis communications using various media, the trained spokesperson, pre-scripted information bulletins, and defining the at-risk population. The webinar will also discuss establishing the procedures for activating, operating, and deactivating the joint information center. Finally, it will discuss testing the joint information center, a common non-compliant finding.

Recovery Planning

This webinar will focus on Standard 4.5 Operational Planning and Procedures, which defines the minimum elements a recovery plan should have to meet compliance. It will focus on short—and long-term recovery priorities in specific areas of responsibility, such as critical functions, services/programs, vital resources, facilities, and infrastructure.
