The EMAP Training Course is an opportunity for emergency management and US&R professionals within emergency management and US&R Programs to learn about the Emergency Management Accreditation Program and EMAP Standards and prepare their Programs for assessment and accreditation.

When & Where is Training?
EMAP offers virtual and in-person training opportunities for the Emergency Management Standard and Urban Search & Rescue (US&R) Standard. Virtual training is similar to previous on-site training; it has just been adapted to a virtual environment. See our current training opportunities below:
Emergency Management Standard Training
Virtual Cohort Training Opportunities
Each virtual cohort training is a cumulative 20 hours of training. The virtual cohort training registration fee is $450.

In-Person Training Opportunities
EMAP will offer E0122: Emergency Management Standard Training in person at FEMA’s Emergency Management Institute (EMI) campus in Emmitsburg, Maryland. This training provides participants with an overview of the EMAP Standards and the accreditation process while helping emergency management professionals better understand how the Standards can be applied to their programs.

- July 12-15, 2027
