Nov. 12, 2025 – EMAP Commissioner Marcia Deppen formally presented the City of Fairfax with its accreditation plaque during the city’s accreditation ceremony this week. This accomplishment makes Fairfax the first locality in the state of Virginia to earn EMAP accreditation, underscoring the city’s dedication to public safety, preparedness, and community resilience.
