Training Course

The EMAP Training Course is an opportunity for emergency management and US&R professionals within emergency management and US&R Programs to learn about the Emergency Management Accreditation Program and EMAP Standards and prepare their Programs for assessment and accreditation.

*EMAP training is mandated for all Program EMAP Accreditation/Assessment Managers and Assessors. For information regarding training opportunities, please contact EMAP staff at emap@emap.org.

When & Where is Training?

EMAP offers virtual and in-person training opportunities for the Emergency Management Standard and Urban Search & Rescue (US&R) Standard. Virtual training is similar to previous on-site training; it has just been adapted to a virtual environment. See our current training opportunities below:

Emergency Management Standard Training

Virtual Cohort Training Opportunities

Each virtual cohort training is a cumulative 20 hours of training. The virtual cohort training registration fee is $450.

Dates for the upcoming Emergency Management Standard virtual cohorts:

  • December 2-5, 2025, from 12-5 pm ET
  • February 3-5, 2026, from 12-5 pm ET
  • June 23-25, 2026, from 12-5 pm ET
  • September 8-10, 2026, from 12-5 pm ET
  • December 1-3, 2026, from 12-5 pm ET

US&R Standard Training
